Make Your Nominations for CVMA¡¦s 2009 Awards!

Saying thank you to those who have advanced the profession of veterinary medicine and the welfare of animals in Connecticut has never been so easy! All you need to do is nominate a colleague, an employee, or an animal who has made a difference. Is there anyone in your office you¡¦d like to see recognized? All nominations must be made by CVMA member veterinarians. Please get your nomination in to the CVMA office by October 31, 2008. For your information, a list of past award recipients is included.

Award Categories

Veterinarian of the Year: This award recognizes the contributions of a CVMA member veterinarian to the advancement of veterinary medicine in the areas of organization, education, research, practice, regulatory service or community service.

Veterinary Health Care Team Member of the Year: This award recognizes contributions to veterinary medicine and the human animal bond through technical skill, efficiency, positive client relations and/or community service by a technician or other veterinary employee. This individual does not have to be a member of the Veterinary Health Care Team of Connecticut (VHCT2).

Pet of the Year Award: This award recognizes an animal which exemplifies the human-animal bond and/or has provided outstanding contributions to veterinary medicine.
