Dear Veterinarian.
Thank you for your interest in the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association. CVMA represents over 600 Connecticut veterinarians ---the majority of veterinarians practicing in Connecticut. It counts many nationally known leaders in the field of veterinary medicine among its members.
CVMA’s educational programs provide important discounted learning opportunities for members through an annual meeting and trade show, and through two annual one-day continuing education programs.
In addition, CVMA has a number of active committees promoting veterinary medicine, dealing with legislative and regulatory affairs, rabies vaccination clinics, grievances and other issues.
As a member you will receive all of our CVMA publications including the quarterly newsletter, CVMA Report, and the annual Membership Directory. Our headquarters is "information central," and we are here for any questions you may have.
Attached is a membership application. Once we approve your application, you will be sent a membership certificate and an invoice for membership dues. For your information, CVMA’s membership categories are as follows:

Graduates of recognized veterinary colleges, or graduates of veterinary departments of universities as shall be approved by CVMA - $225.*
*New graduates (graduating within the last two years) and licensed in Connecticut pay $50 for their first year membership and receive a discounted registration to one meeting of their choice within the first year.
Those who meet the requirements of active membership but who are not actively engaged in private practice - $100.
Members of CVMA for 25 years who are not less than 65 years old, or those who have financial hardship by reason of physical disability or illness. Requires recommendation of Executive Board and majority vote of members present at any regular meeting - No annual dues
A person who by his/her activities and example have contributed
materially to the advancement and promotion of veterinary
science - No annual dues
A person, firm or corporation engaged in providing products or services to members of CVMA and deemed eligible by the Executive Board (A corporate affiliate has no voting rights) - Contact CVMA office for dues amount.
